The Nova Vista Foundation is a family foundation formed in 2024. We are currently in learning mode.
Our mission is to help ensure a livable planet with shared prosperity for present and future generations. In practice, this means our primary area of focus is the climate crisis. We are interested in funding organizations that:
- Engage in activism, advocacy, and political work to transform climate policy in high-emission countries. We recognize that the climate crisis is primarily a political crisis; only major political change can bring us to net zero in time.
- Work to reduce suffering related to the climate crisis. This includes, but is not limited to, organizations working on deforestation, land rights, factory farming, plant-based food, alternative proteins, and more.
While our primary focus is environmental, a smaller portion of our giving focuses on alleviating suffering and advancing progressive causes, with an emphasis on interventions in education and gender equality.
